SPRING Softball 2026

Follow this registration to register your player for spring 2026 softball.
If you need to know which division your child is eligible for use the Little League Age Calculator.
If your child is enrolling in t-ball please use the baseball registration tab.

Players in T-ball, Coach Pitch and Machine Pitch will receive a hat, jersey, pants and socks.
Players in Minors and above will receive a hat, two jerseys, and socks, but will need to purchase own pants.

All players registering for minors or higher must attend tryouts on January 24, 2026. Specific times will be set closer to the tryout date.

Rules: Minors Softball

ELIGIBILITY:
League Age 9-10, 8*.
NOTE: * All league-age 8yo must register for CPSB for the upcoming spring. League Age 8yo will be then be contacted regarding any possible tryout pending availability based on overall division numbers.

TRYOUTS REQUIRED:
Any player wishing to play in Minors Softball must have completed a minimum of 1 full season (spring) in Coach Pitch/Machine Pitch softball or be League 9 or 10. NOTICE: League Age 8yo. If space allows, players League Age 8 who wish to tryout but are not drafted based on availability/tryout will be rostered in Coach Pitch/Machine Pitch. 


ROSTERS/TEAMS:
Teams will be drafted from pool of eligible 9-10year old players. All available league age 9 and 10 year old’s, including any who did not tryout, must be rostered. Undrafted 8 year old’s will be placed in Machine Pitch. All Minors Softball players are eligible for consideration and participation on the AHLL 8-10yo All Star Team. Players who do not participate in tryouts are entered as ‘hat picks’ and may not be eligible for All Stars. 

GAME GUIDELINES:

  • Games will be 1:45 or 6 innings, whichever comes first 

  •  No new inning may begin after 1:25 (85 minutes) ▪ New innings begin the moment the 3rd out is made against the home team. Hard Stop at 1:45 no questions. If inning not completed score reverts back to previous complete inning. Pace of play will be at the discretion of the umpire. Late mound visits and time outs are with approval only.

  •  Regular season games can end in ties ▪ TIE BREAK: In the event of a tie after 6 innings, and it is not yet 1:25 into the game: > If still tied, and not 1:25, an additional inning will be played beginning with 2 outs and the last player put out, from the previous inning, on 2nd base. (California Rule) > If still tied, the game would continue with California Rule innings until 1:25 limit. 

  •  5 runs per half inning or 3 outs 

  •  Official Little League Rules (Green Book) are in effect 

  •  Run rule; 8 runs after 5 complete. 10 runs after 4 complete. 15 runs after 3 complete. 

  •  No lead offs. Runners can steal after the pitch crosses home plate. 

  •  Slides must be feet first unless returning to a base. Runners sliding headfirst to advance a base will be called out without warning. 

  •  Teams will bat entire roster the entire game. In the event of an injury, the lineup collapses, there will be no penalty and play continues. Must have a minimum of 8 players (infield) to continue to play.

  •  Courtesy runners are only allowed (pitcher or catcher) when the batting team has 2 outs. Last out will run for the pitcher or catcher. 

  •  Infield fly rule in effect; Dropped 3rd strike NOT in effect 

  •  Pitching distance is 35ft 

  •  Official lineups will be shared at plate meetings. 

  •  Teams will have a max of three (3) coaches per game. One (1) coach will remain in the dugout at all times when players are present. Coaches on defense must remain in the dugout or just outside the entrance. 

  • Coaches will NOT argue balls and strikes with the umpire 

  •  Discretion of the umpire is Final. No Arguing with Umpires ▪ Protests, if necessary, must be filed appropriately with the home plate umpire. In the event of a protest, play will continue from the point of protest. Protest should be marked in the official book. No book, no protest. 

  • Home team is responsible for announcing and keeping an official book. ▪ GameChanger acceptable if Player Agent and/or Commissioner are ‘staff’ 

  •  Visiting team will run the scoreboard. 

  •  Walk-up music permitted until batter enters the batters box and it does not interfere with play. ▪ Music should be community appropriate 

     

All disputes of the outlined rules and guidelines or questions on established Little League rules should be directed to a Board Member on Duty, the Division Player Agent, the league Commissioner, and/or League President IN WRITING. 

Rules: Majors Softball

ELIGIBILITY:
League Age 11-12. 


TRYOUTS REQUIRED:
Any player wishing to play in Majors Softball must have completed a minimum of 1 full season (spring) in minors softball and/or be League 11 or 12. 


ROSTERS/TEAMS:
Teams will be drafted from pool of eligible 11-12year old players. All available league age 11 and 12 year old’s, including any who did not tryout, must be rostered. All majors softball players are eligible for consideration and participation on the AHLL 9-11yo or Little League Softball All Star Team(s). Players who do not participate in tryouts are entered as ‘hat picks’ and may not be eligible for All Stars. 

GAME GUIDELINES:

  • Games will be 2hrs or 6 innings, whichever comes first 

  •  No new inning may begin after 2 hours or 10pm, whichever happens first ▪ New innings begin the moment the 3rd out is made against the home team 

    ▪ Hard STOP at 10:30, regardless of score, inning, or situation (City Curfew) 

    ▪ Pace of play will be at the discretion of the umpire. Late mound visits and time outs are with approval only. 

  •  Regular season games can end in ties ▪ TIE BREAK: In the event of a tie after 6 innings, and it is not yet 2hr into the game: > If still tied, and not 2hrs, an additional inning will be played beginning with 2 outs and the last player put out, from the previous inning, on 2nd base.
